Social connection is a basic human need much like our need for air, food, water, shelter, and sleep. As we navigate this isolation period, the Greenstein crew is experiencing some emotional highs and lows. Five days into their e-learning and my kids want to fire their new teacher.😜
Aly was thrilled to have a Zoom call with her much more qualified teacher and her entire class yesterday. She may have been feeling a bit crowded by her nosy family during the call. I think my boys are struggling a bit too and may need their own Zoom calls. Her brother eventually wormed his way into her class call and her dad was not too far behind.
We are grateful that our kids love their school, teachers, friends, family, and community. I see many more virtual calls in their near future and a big neighborhood party when this is all behind us.
I am grateful to get to spend this time with my family. I am also thankful that I get to support my clients virtually however I can serve them best during this time. I’ll continue to offer consultations and virtual assessments, strategy sessions, sanity check-ins, nutrition, and lifestyle coaching, and individualized program design based on the client’s goals, needs, and limitations. I will continue to offer apps and tools to keep my clients on track and focused where it matters most for them. In addition, I am now offering virtual one-on-one fitness coaching sessions for those who need it. Do you want to see my family lurking in the background?! Get ready for it.
As we all work through this process, I am finding comfort in helping others and I am grateful for every single client. They may not realize it, but as I help them, they actually help me too.
