We have been home for three weeks. As we move into week four, how is everyone doing? How are you choosing to spend your time? Have your priorities changed?
For the healthcare workers, first responders, delivery drivers, and other essential employees on the front lines, I am grateful for you. Now and always, you put your own health at risk to serve others. There are no words to describe my gratitude. You truly are the heroes.
For all the parents that are trying to work from home while being the parent, teacher, chef, house manager, and referee while staying up on current events and still running businesses, I know it’s not easy. No one can do it all. You’re doing just fine.
For all the people who have lost their jobs or have businesses that are shut down and are unsure what the future holds, my heart goes out to you. Things will get better. For all the people feeling lonely, I’m sending a virtual hug your way.
As we navigate challenging times, priorities often need to shift. We may need to be okay with good enough. We may need to shift our focus on what we can impact instead of obsessing about things outside of our control.
What matters most to you? What can you do today that will support that? Are you making yourself a priority? Today and always, I make my mental and physical health a priority so I can continue to serve others and be there for family and friends. Without it, I am unsustainable.
Have a great week!
